A newly unveiled musical fountain is providing a cool respite for tourists in the Nantianhu Scenic Area of Fengdu County, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. 

As night falls, the fountain presents eye-catching water performances paired with different melodies. It sprays a chorus of water columns with an array of spectacular patterns.

"It's amazing to see such a fountain with all different colors and shapes. It offers a kind of 3D experience and it's a worthy trip to Nanshanhu indeed. As a photographer, I like to take photos of such beautiful moments," said a shutterbug. 

The design of the first musical fountain in the area was inspired by the unique mountain lake scenery. The whole fountain is 150 meters wide, 40 meters deep and 120 meters high. 

With the opening of the first Beer and Camping Carnival at Nantianhu Lake, the musical fountain will be opened to tourists every day from July 6 to August 24.
