The 136.4 hectares soft foundation reinforcement project, the most difficult part of the Wild Elephant Valley station on the China-Laos Railway, is complete.

Linking Kunming City with Laos's capital city of Vientiane, the Wild Elephant Valley station is located in Jinghong City of Yunnan's Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Xishuangbanna. In order to not disturb the wild elephants, tunnels at both ends of the station pass through mountains instead of the forests.
