Chinese defending champion Xie Siyi claimed the men's 3m springboard championship Thursday with a total score of 545.45 points at the 18th FINA World Swimming Championships in Gwangju.
His counterpart Cao Yuan took silver with 517.85 points, while bronze went to Britain's Jack Laugher with 504.55 points.
