Traveling seems to be the most suitable way for Yao Shun to explore the world and live out his passion. Born in the 1990s, Yao Shun is now a travel blogger who has been to 62 countries worldwide.

Yao started his travels in 2016 when he had a gap year as a graduate student. He planned two trips of 100 days each. First, he went to Southeast Asia, and then he took a train from Beijing to Rome.

Traveling has become an indispensable part of his life. "For me, traveling can be a shortcut for personal development," Yao said. He learned independent skydiving in the U.S., paragliding in southwest China’s Sichuan Province, kite surfing in Vietnam, rock climbing in Laos, and became a licensed diving coach in Malaysia.

Yao thinks that some skills are best formed through traveling, and some incredible scenes can only be discovered on the way. Yao captures his experiences using words, photos and videos, attracting many followers who love traveling as well. Most of them are inspired by Yao's travelogs and design their own itineraries.

With the development of the economy and the rise of people's living standards in China, there is a growing number of people who tend to pick customized and in-depth tourism. People are more likely to explore the world nowadays, learn about new cultures and grow as a person by traveling, rather than having just a quick glance.

Yao believes that life without traveling is just surviving. He hopes more and more people can seek self-growth and broaden horizons through traveling.
