A total of 12 people have been killed, 13 severely injured and three others remain missing as of 4 p.m. Saturday after an explosion ripped through a gas plant in central China's Henan Province on July 19. Nearly all the staff of the local hospital were called on duty after the blast. Doctors say most of the injuries were caused by flying glass and roof tiles. Many people suffered from lacerations of the scalp and limbs.
