Forty-year-old Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao beat American Keith Thurman by split decision in the WBA Welterweight Super Championship on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

In the 12-round bout, the eight-division world champion knocked down Thurman with one minute to go in the first round. The latter even started bleeding from his nose in the fifth round and looked beaten, but Thurman recovered in the middle of the fight before Pacquiao stormed back to take the last few rounds.

Two judges scored it 115-112 in favor of Pacquiao with the third scoring it 114-113 in favor of Thurman.

It was the first loss for Thurman, who's 10 years younger than "Pac Man" and hadn't fought in a match in nearly two years before January 2019.

Thurman had vowed to beat the Filipino into retirement, but it seems that's still far away for the legend.

Now, the career record for Pacquiao is 62W-7L-2D (39KOs), while for Thurman, it's 29W-1L (22KOs).
