Surrounded by high mountains, Naiyü Valley, with an average elevation of 2,500 meters in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is like a luxuriant fairyland with poetic serenity and refreshing beauty.
It covers a vast stretch of forest wetland, which plays a significant role in preserving biodiversity and conserving water and soil in the region.
About CGTN Nature
In the Southeastern Tibet Series, we focus on the magnificent southeastern Tibet. Unlike the common Tibet we know, the southeastern area has glaciers, lakes, snow mountains, meadows, forests and wetlands. The water vapor and heat from the Indian Ocean pass through canyons until they reach the inner part of Tibet, making the southeastern area a place of warmth and greenery. Tibetan rhesus macaque, black-necked cranes together with other incredible animals and plants are living harmoniously there.
