Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is on a three-day visit to the United States.
Interestingly, he opted for a commercial flight as a bid to "save taxpayer money".
Pakistani Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence are accompanying the prime minister, the first time that the country’s top generals accompany a prime minister on a U.S. visit. Prime Minister Khan is set to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the White House.

They will also meet the U.S. Defense Secretary and the chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff during their visit to Pentagon.
Observers say the reason for the prime minister’s decision to bring top military officials to Washington, is that after a long time, Pakistan’s civil and military leaders are on the same page on key issues.
Afghanistan and terrorism remain the two primary concerns of the Trump administration in the South Asian region, and experts say no major decision can be implemented in Pakistan without the army’s support on such issues.
PM Imran's agenda
Khan will meet International Monetary Fund Chief David Lipton and his delegation and will later have a similar meeting with the World Bank president. He will also attend a community event at Washington’s Capital One Arena, where a large turnout of the Pakistani community in the U.S. is expected.
Other engagements include a meeting of Pakistani-American investors, media interviews, addressing the U.S.-Pakistani Business Council and a dinner meeting with selected leaders of America’s corporate sector.

The prime minister will arrive at the White House on Monday and will attend two sessions after a book signing ceremony -- a small group meeting and an extended meeting. The first meeting will be in the Oval Office and the second in the Cabinet Room.
According to Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Khan will have a one-on-one meeting with Trump. The U.S. leader will accompany him on a White House tour that will give them more chat time.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will call on the prime minister on July 23.
Khan will also address a meeting at the U.S. Institute of Peace and have lunch with newspaper editors. Later, he will go to Capitol Hill for a meeting with the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate and later address the bipartisan Pakistani American Caucus. So far, 40-plus lawmakers have reportedly signed up for this meeting.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Khan will also meet before his return to Pakistan the same day.
