Four people were killed after a heavy rainstorm hit Jing'an County, east China's Jiangxi Province on Sunday, said the provincial emergency management bureau on Monday.
The downpour started at around 2:00 p.m. local time and triggered torrential floods, trapping 283 hikers, according to local authorities.
As of 9:24 a.m., all the trapped people have been rescued.
