Built on an area of 2,400 square meters, the Turkish Pavilion is one of the largest and most popular pavilions at the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition.

With the theme of "Welcoming the Future with Green," Turkey aims to reveal its uniqueness with its centuries-old legacy of nature and culture and the idea and vision of making the world a more livable and sustainable place.

Visitors to the pavilion are welcomed with a water display inspired by the natural wonder of Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Turkey. The steps depict the travertine mineral formed by deposits from flowing water in the region.

The Turkish Pavilion is made of three main sections of open, half-open and closed zones and nine units.

An innovation space, indigenous plants, medicinal and aromatic plants, and a garden featuring the private terraces of the Ottoman Sultans are among the units on display inside the pavilion.

The Turkish pavilion also presents seven structures from each region of Turkey, reflecting the effect of climatic diversity on Turkey's geography, vegetation, habitation and lifestyle.

At the end of the expo, Turkey will donate its pavilion to China as a sign of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The theme of the expo is "Live Green, Live Better." The world's largest showcase of its kind, the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition opened to the public on April 29 in Yanqing District and will last until October 7.

The expo has attracted exhibitors from 110 countries and international organizations. Indoor displays and outdoor gardens highlight the integration of life and ecology at this international extravaganza.
