Chinese television is slowly making inroads globally, either from a storytelling perspective or the quality of production. Case in point is the historical series "The Longest Day of Chang'an," with many hailing how easy it is to follow, both at home and abroad. Others compare it to the popular American series "24" as both are fast-paced and involve a condensed plot.
