On July 23, 2019, Qionghai City in Hainan Province of southern China welcomed a rain that eased the summer heat. After the rain fall, the color of lotus flowers in a pond became more vivid against the cloudy sky, attracting visitors like dragonflies and wild birds.

The blossoming period for a lotus flower is usually from June to September. During the summer season, lotus flowers can be seen in most of the gardens in China.
