On July 22, three whales were spotted by a Chinese fishery law enforcement vessel in the waters off the coast of Changdao County of east China's Shandong Province.
According to Wang Guoxiang, a member of the law enforcement staff at the Changdao Oceanic and Fishery Supervision Team, it is very rare to see whales in the waters off Changdao, and he has never seen things like this in all his years of law enforcement at sea.
Changdao County, where deep waters and fast currents combine at the confluence of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, is rich in biological diversity of marine life.
