China men's national basketball team lost to Croatia 59-72 at the FIBA Stankovic Cup final, finishing as the runner-up on Wednesday in Shenzhen.

Guo Ailun still made a team-high 18 points after he contributed with 17 in the game against Tunisia. But that didn't save the out-of-state Team China.

Croatia just delegated their national team's second squad to the Cup, but their tight defense worked well and let them bag the 30,000 U.S. dollars award home.

In the near future, China will have a friendly match against Cameroon before the FIBA World Cup.
