Chinese Antarctic expedition team member, Yao Shutao, captured the magnificent and dazzling beam of polar lights above Zhongshan Station in Antarctica. Polar light, a natural light display in the sky, is especially seen in high latitude regions such as Antarctica. Zhongshan Station is the second Chinese research station on the ice-covered landmass and was opened on February 26, 1989.
