In Saturday's gathering, protesters waved American flags and sang the US national anthem. Earlier this month, protesters stormed Hong Kong's Legislative Council building and tied a British colonial-era flag to the podium. Beijing has repeatedly condemned any foreign interference in China's internal affairs.
