High temperature alert! Macaques cool down in water

During a heatwave in Nanjing City of E China's Jiangsu Province on July 28, 2019, macaques at Hongshan Zoo chose to jump into the water to try to beat the heat. This rekindled their enthusiasm for playing.

There are currently 23 known species of macaque in Asia, North Africa and Gibraltar. They are quite clever animals that know how to make full use of the environment for a better life. Macaques in Japan share hot springs with humans in winter.
