China lauds the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s recent remark regarding the protests in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Tuesday in a daily media briefing.

DPRK's official newspaper Rodong Sinmun published article on Friday, saying that DPRK supports the measures taken by China's central government in resolving HKSAR issues, adding that no external country, organization or person has the right to interfere with Hong Kong issue. 

Hua reiterated that the central government is highly confident and determined to safeguard peace and stability in HKSAR.
