A female panda had a unique birthday party in Dalian City of northeast China's Liaoning Province on Tuesday, celebrating together with dozens of children who share the same birthday. 

Giant panda Fei Yun celebrated her ninth birthday on Tuesday, with colorful banners and balloons decorated by the staff at the Dalian Forest Zoo, as well as a big birthday cake made of bamboo. 

The zoo also invited children whose birthday fell on the same day to come and celebrate with Fei Yun. The children and their parents enjoyed specially made panda-shaped birthday cakes, with everyone immersing in the party atmosphere. 

"I always celebrated my birthday with my mom and dad. Today I am very happy to share my birthday with the giant panda. I hope that she will grow up healthily and happily, so do I," said young visitor Zhang Mingkai, who was one of the lucky children celebrating his birthday with Fei Yun. 

"I think this event is very meaningful for children to know more about the animal and to be closer to nature," said the mother of another participating child.
