Trash redefined: How a month of garbage sorting changed Shanghai

China, like many other countries has started implementing waste sorting rules for its citizens. The city of Shanghai was the first to welcome the new policy in July. Now, a full month since the policy was put in place, the lifestyles of many Shanghai residents have changed in ways they couldn’t have imagined. Thursday we begin our four-episode series called Trash Redefined, which shows you how the city and its people are coping with the new garbage sorting rules. Here’s a preview.
