Russia's Moscow Zoo on Wednesday threw a big birthday bash for two giant pandas, with adoring fans in attendance.

The panda duo, two-year-old female Ding Ding and three-year-old male Ru Yi, feasted on their special birthday cakes made of bamboos, carrots and apples while being serenaded with the happy birthday song by Russian kids present at the ceremony. 

It is the first overseas birthday celebration for Ding Ding, born on July 30, 2017, and Ru Yi, born on July 31, 2016, after the pair migrated from southwest China's Sichuan Province to Moscow in April as part of a 15-year scientific research collaboration between China and Russia.
