Police scanner traffic has indicated that there may be as many as nine dead after a shooting happened in the American city of Dayton, Ohio, according to the Dayton Daily News. At least 26 people were injured. 

The same news outlet indicates that the gunman was shot to death by Dayton police officers. Authorities are searching for a second possible shooter. 

The shooting occurred in the area of East 5th Street in the Oregon District on early Sunday, hours after the mass shooting in Texas, in which at least 20 were killed.
