A week-long study tour around China will set you back 30,000 yuan or around 4,300 U.S. dollars. That's at least as much as it costs for a year in school. Parents are complaining about the high prices for their children's summer activities. The fee can be as high as 60,000 yuan for a two-week tour abroad. And getting better rates by organizing into groups only goes so far.
