Located in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region lies the spectacular Etuokesaier River valley.
With the headwater at an elevation of 3,500 meters, the river has a length of 101 kilometers and a drainage area of 1,000 square kilometers.
The valley is home to various kinds of animals, such as the ibex and the Tianshan red deer.
