A man put himself in danger high in the air in order to protect tourists. Sweating high above the ground, repairman Xu Xiaobo checks every bearing on the two-kilometer-long ropeway at Wugong Mountain in east China's Jiangxi Province. He listens to the sound the bearings make to see if they're secure. The friction between the axle and cable can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius and the repairmen have to closely listen to a total of 450 bearings. Yet such hard work always pays off when they see tourists happily sitting on the cable car, safe and sound, enjoying the view.
