Falling on the seventh day of seventh lunar month, the Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, is a day for lovers to reunite. The festival has been celebrated in China since the Western Han Dynasty (206BC - 24AD) and the legend of the annual meeting of the cowherd and weaver girl has been passed down generations.
