The Survival Handbook | Episode 5: The last crested ibises
The crested ibis is a first-class state-protected bird in China. It was once really hard to spot in the wild.
In 1981, Chinese researchers finally located seven crested ibises in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, some of which are carefully protected in Xiazhu Lake Wetland Reserve in Deqing County, east China's Zhejiang Province.
