A number of Hong Kong residents gathered at Tsim Sha Tsui's Star Ferry Pier on Thursday to show their support for Chinese national unity. They sang the national anthem while paying tribute to the national flag. On Monday, anti-government protesters tore the Chinese flag and threw it into the water. Many expressed anger over the incident.
