A magnitude-4.9 earthquake hit Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province, on Friday according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The quake happened around 3:23 p.m. BJT, at a depth of nine kilometers.
No casualties have been reported so far.
