At least 60 people died and 70 others were injured after a fuel tanker exploded on Saturday in Morogoro, 200 kilometers west of Tanzania's capital Dar es Salaam.

Initial reports said the explosion took place when people came to collect the leaked oil from a tanker that rolled over near a bus station in Morogoro. The police have not confirmed the cause of the incident yet.

Rescue operations are currently underway.
