The fluffy Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys inhabit forests at an altitude of 2,500 to 5,000 meters in southwest China's Yunnan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region. They love eating lichen on firs though it consists of little protein. To take in enough nutrition, they have to eat a lot, making them pot-bellied.

There are now around 3,000 of these adorable creatures living in the world. Most of them live in the Baima Snow Mountain Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province. CGTN Nature film crew is now filming them in Shangri-La Yunnan Snub-nosed Monkey National Nature Reserve in Weixi County.
