LinkSpace's RLV-T5 rocket blasted off in a desert in western Qinghai Province and flew as high as 300 meters before returning to the launchpad on its own after 50 seconds, according to the company's founder Hu Zhenyu. /VCG Photo

The technology of the rocket can be tested at a low cost and be updated in short time. The RLV-T5 hovered 20 meters and 40 meters above the ground in two tests in March and April. According to Hu, the company aims to launch its next-generation RLV-T16 next year, which will be able to reach an altitude of up to 150 kilometers. /VCG Photo
