China urges U.S. to immediately stop meddling in Hong Kong's affairs
Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press conference on Monday that China urged the United States to immediately stop meddling in Hong Kong's affairs.
Hua noted that the evidences showed that U.S. officials are in contact with the so-called leaders of the Hong Kong's "separatists" and looking to destroy Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.
"I would like to ask the U.S. side again, what is your intention and what is the real purpose that you want to achieve behind Hong Kong?" Hua said.
Saying Hong Kong is part of China and Hong Kong's affairs is China's internal affairs, Hua urged the U.S. to stop meddling in Hong Kong's affairs and abide by international laws and basic rules of international relations.
