Lekima, the ninth and strongest typhoon of the year to hit China, wreaked havoc as it churned through the country's east coast. A landmark pavilion was washed away in Weifang City in eastern Shandong Province on August 11. In Xianju County, east China's Zhejiang Province, a signature statue was washed away by the flood.
