Southwest of Mudanjiang City, in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, there is a scenic lake with waterfalls and volcanic landforms. This is Jingpo Lake, one of the most famous lakes in China.

Jingpo Lake literally means "Mirror Lake." It was created by volcanic eruptions as magmatic rock blocked the flow of the Mudanjiang River.
