China's National People's Congress (NPC) has refuted a series of remarks from U.S. politicians regarding Hong Kong. This comes after U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi earlier tweeted that Beijing is using force against protesters, which is followed by rhetoric from other politicians. The NPC says the comments distort criminal acts by presenting them as a fight for freedom while the American politicians also falsely accuse Hong Kong police of violently suppressing demonstrators.
