Hong Kong residents rallied in Chater Garden in Central, Hong Kong on August 16. Organizers claimed on Twitter that 60,000 attended. Actually, there weren’t that many people on the site. Hong Kong police put the peak turnout at 7,100. Riots have not received the support of Hong Kong residents.
