The Office of the Commissioner of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday expressed indignation and opposition against some U.S. officials who meddle in Hong Kong's affairs.

"Hong Kong is part of China and Hong Kong's affairs are China's internal affairs," the office said in a statement on their official website.

The office made the statement in response to the U.S. officials' fallacy at the Detroit Economic Club on August 19 which intervened in Hong Kong affairs.
