After 52 days of receding waters, a stunning “Chinese ink painting” formed by the sediments appeared on the dried riverbed of a section of the Yellow River in central China's Henan Province.

The water in the reservoir usually recedes before the flood season. Sediments appear in the main channel after the water level has lowered.
