Meng is currently under house arrest in Canada facing multiple criminal charges in the United States. She's fighting extradition to the U.S. to face charges related to alleged violations of trade sanctions on Iran. Both Meng and Huawei have denied any wrongdoing. The Chinese government has also expressed strong protest and dissatisfaction over the case, and has made solemn representations.
