A great crested grebe was seen foraging for fish with its chicks at the estuary wetland in Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province.

The great crested grebe has high requirements in terms of their habitat's environmental quality, as the water needs to be clear and rich in fish. The estuary wetland has all those elements, therefore it is a good breeding base for the species to develop.
