Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will pay an official visit to China from August 25 to 27 at the invitation of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced Friday. 

Earlier, the two foreign ministers held talks during Zarif's visit to China in May. 

While meeting with Wang, Zarif praised China for the important role in defending the Iran nuclear deal and vowed to strengthen bilateral and multilateral coordination so as to safeguard multilateralism and common interests of the two countries.
