Hopping genie in the Changbai Mountains

In August, the Changbai Mountains enter the rainy season. The humid forest becomes a playground for small animals. Among all these creatures, the Siberian chipmunk probably has the greatest vitality. It is a common species across Asia. Despite their small sizes – one can range from 18 to 25 centimeters in length – every chipmunk has its own territory ranges from 700 to 4,000 square meters and is usually larger for females than males.
