Any forest has no shortage of plants that are in unexpected shapes and colors, the forest in Tianping Mountain in Zhangjiajie City, China's central Hunan Province is no exception. A brief, random hike through the woods here might turn out to be a surprising journey full of encounters with many obscure but lovely-looking wild flowers. China's Flora Tour

From the wetlands along the coast to the dense rainforests hidden in the southwest, China boasts an array of plant species. In this series, we will go on a tour to learn about some of the most representative flora in different provinces and see how they live in harmony with the local geography and climate.
