Some economists have said China's latest countermeasures against the U.S. trade measures are reasonable and likely to be effective. Beijing plans to raise tariffs on 75 billion U.S. dollars worth of American goods in retaliation to the U.S. plan to place tariffs on an additional $300 billion worth of Chinese imports.
