On Saturday, nearly 7,000 women in Hong Kong came together in a peaceful rally to call for an end to the unrest in the city, rally organizers say. Headed by the Hong Kong Federation of Women and supported by over 30 women's organizations, they gathered at the convention and exhibition center to demand peace and stability. The rally organizer stressed that illegal assemblies are destructive for the region. Many participants called on young people to say no to violence and protect the city.
