Beijing, the capital of China, is not just a crowded big city. Some of its suburbs are filled with natural beauty. Yanqing District, with lush mountains and beautiful lakes, is one of them.

Located in the northwest of the capital, Yanqing is a top tourist destination in suburban Beijing.  It is home to the popular Badaling section of the Great Wall and will also host alpine skiing and other events during the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Besides, visitors to the Beijing International Horticultural Expo which takes place in Yanqing can enjoy a relaxing walk on the lakeside while taking in the picturesque landscape.
