Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to 2019 Smart China Expo, which opened in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality Monday.

President Xi stressed that China attaches great importance to smart industries and step up efforts to accelerate the digital industrialization and digitization of industries, promoting the deep integration of digital and real economy.

A new round of scientific and technological revolution, industrial transformation and the rapid development of the intelligent industry have exerted a significant and far-reaching impact on economic development, social progress and global governance, Xi said.

He said that China is ready to work with the international community to create an intelligent era and share its achievements.
