The classic ballet "The Nutcracker" will bring its timeless score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, exquisite dance, evocative music and festive air to Beijing audiences on September 15.
The two-act ballet will star artists from the acclaimed Russian State Ballet which is devoted to the traditions of ballet while conveying their own modern elegance.

With the libretto adapted from German writer E. T. A. Hoffmann's fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King," the festive family favorite highlights a young girl's Christmas adventure in a magical kingdom populated by dolls.
The ballet is set to be staged during two performance slots at the Mei Lanfang Grand Theater.
