A strict guideline has been applied to take care of the detainees and the well-being of the arrested, the Hong Kong police said at Wednesday's press conference. Protesters used weapons, such as bricks, metal poles, and long sticks, to assault police officers, said the police. They also reiterated a zero-tolerance policy to violence.
